Every March, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 4 (AOH), gathers to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday and march through Huntington, New York. The Huntington parade is Long Island’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade, running for almost 90 years. Each year, the AOH selects an honored member of the community to represent the Division and the town of Huntington to serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal. They celebrate this sacred honor at the annual Grand Marshal’s Ball.
Past Grand Marshals include the region’s most respected people, from politicians to local business owners and even clergy. Grand Marshals have the unique privilege of leading the parade procession through Huntington Village. This year the AOH is pleased to bestow this great honor to AOH Board Member, Past President, and proud local business owner Greg Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy and the AOH look forward to seeing all their friends and fellow community members as we gather in fellowship and march to celebrate this annual event and our Irish heritage. Please join us Friday, March 3, for our Grand Marshals Ball and once again on Sunday, March 12, as we march down Huntington’s Main Street.
