Every March the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 4 (AOH) gather in celebration of the St. Patrick’s Day holiday and march through Huntington, New York. The Huntington parade is Long Island’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade, running for almost 90 years. Each year the AOH select an honored member of the community to represent the Division and the town of Huntington to serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal. They celebrate this sacred honor at the annual Grand Marshal’s Ball.
Past Grand Marshal’s include the region’s most respected people, from politicians, local business owners, and even clergy. Grand Marshal’s have the unique privilege of leading the parade procession through Huntington Village.
While the COVID pandemic has cancelled the 2021 Grand Marshal’s Ball organizers are already hard at work to ensure that the 2022 Ball is a collective success for all in attendance for our new Grand Marshal, Northwell Health CEO and President, Michael Dowling.
Mr. Dowling and the AOH look forward to seeing everyone next year as we gather in safer conditions to celebrate this historic event and observe this special Irish tradition.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians would like to extend a special nod of gratitude to all those who could attend the 86th Annual Grand Marshal’s Ball. Our 2020 Grand Marshal, the Honorable W. Gerard Asher served as a model Grand Marshal and all those who came out to support him made the evening a success for Judge Asher, his family, and his friends.
*The value of the prize redeemed cannot exceed $3,000. Any additional costs will be the responsibility of the winner.
